SBMAQ 2026 Giveaway-Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter is MADJI PTY LTD trading as Madji Indigenous Furniture, ABN 63 641 111 355, of 3/62 Curzon Street, Tennyson, QLD 4105.

2. Eligibility

Entry is open to individuals who:

  • are aged 18 years or older;
  • attend the SBMAQ 2026 Conference;
  • represent or are employed by an Australian school, educational organisation or related organisation; and
  • submit a valid entry during the promotional period.

Employees, directors and immediate family members of the Promoter, the event organiser and businesses directly involved in administering the giveaway are not eligible to enter.

3. Promotional period

The giveaway opens at 28th of July and closes at 30th of July.

Entries received outside the promotional period will not be accepted.

4. How to enter

To enter, an eligible person must:

  1. Scan the giveaway QR code or visit the giveaway webpage.
  2. Complete all required fields in the online entry form.
  3. Agree to these Terms and Conditions.
  4. Submit the form during the promotional period.

No purchase is necessary.

Only one entry per person is permitted. Incomplete, duplicate, automated or fraudulent entries may be deemed invalid.

5. Marketing consent

Agreeing to receive Madji marketing communications is optional and is not a condition of entry.

An entrant’s decision not to subscribe to marketing will not affect their eligibility or chance of winning.

Entrants who choose to subscribe may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in Madji marketing emails.

6. Prize

The prize is: One Madji Barung Ottoman

The prize does not include accessories, additional furniture, installation or other items shown in promotional photography unless expressly stated.

The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.

Be precise about the prize, value, finish and delivery limitations. Promotional conditions and limitations should be clearly disclosed and product claims must be accurate.

7. Delivery

The Promoter will discuss delivery arrangements directly with the winner.

Additional delivery, regional freight, difficult-access delivery or installation charges may apply where the winner’s location falls outside the included delivery area.

This section needs to match what Madji is genuinely prepared to supply.

8. Winner selection

The winner will be selected by random draw at 31st of July

Each valid entry will have an equal chance of being selected.

The first valid entry randomly selected will be the winner.

9. Winner notification

The winner will be contacted using the email address and/or telephone number provided in their entry within two business days of the draw.

The winner may also be announced on Madji’s website and social media channels, subject to the winner’s permission where required.

10. Claiming the prize

The winner must respond and claim the prize within 14 days of receiving notification.

The Promoter may request reasonable evidence confirming the winner’s identity, age, organisation and eligibility.

If the winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible or does not claim the prize within the required period, the Promoter may conduct another random draw from the remaining valid entries.

12. Privacy

The Promoter will collect personal information including entrants’ names, email addresses, organisations and form responses for the purpose of:

  • administering the giveaway;
  • confirming entrant eligibility;
  • contacting and verifying the winner;
  • arranging delivery of the prize; and
  • sending marketing communications only where the entrant has separately agreed to receive them.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with Madji’s Privacy Policy, available at Privacy Policy.

The information requested should be reasonably necessary for administering the promotion, and its intended use should be explained clearly to entrants.

13. Publicity

The winner may be invited to participate in reasonable promotional activity relating to the giveaway, such as a winner announcement or photograph.

Any use of the winner’s image, testimonial or additional personal information will be discussed with the winner separately.

14. General

The Promoter reserves the right to verify entries and disqualify any entrant who:

  • submits false or misleading information;
  • interferes with the entry process;
  • uses automated entry methods; or
  • otherwise breaches these Terms and Conditions.

If the giveaway cannot proceed as planned because of circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter may modify, suspend or cancel the promotion, subject to applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes any rights that cannot legally be excluded under Australian consumer law.
