Woven with purpose and story.
Custom furniture bringing culture, identity, and comfort into a community-focused space.
This project involved the creation of custom furniture pieces featuring artwork from a First Nations artist connected to Murri Watch, developed to support a welcoming and culturally connected environment.
Working with meaningful fabric designs, each piece reflects themes of belonging, resilience, and community. These textiles were thoughtfully integrated into the seating, ensuring the space not only functions effectively but also carries a strong sense of identity and purpose.
Within the watch house, the furniture contributes to an environment that feels safe, supportive, and grounded for all who enter. The same artwork is carried through into the office spaces, reinforcing the organisation’s mission and serving as a daily reminder of the purpose behind their work.
The result is a space that feels warm, inclusive, and considered - where furniture becomes more than a functional element, but a medium for storytelling and connection.
Delivered as part of a broader community-focused project, this fitout highlights the impact of thoughtful design in creating environments where people feel supported and at ease.
